Story

The Matchstick is the story about a matchstick that has spent his entire life in a matchbox. The matchstick has been staring at an illustration of a sunflower on his matchbox for his entire life. On onee lucky day, he gets out of the matchbox and meets a beautiful sunflower standing gracefully in the middle of a grassy field. He dreams about getting the sunflower's attention. However, no matter how he tries to get her attention, the sunflower would not look in his direction. When a sunnden overcast darkens the sky, the matchstick realizes that the only thing that got the sunflower's attention were the warm and bright rays of the sun. Therefore, the matchstick decides to light himself to get the sunflower's attention, although he realizes that this would be his last moment in life.
