This is our model for the Climbers. We wanted to make the harness seem slightly mechanical, but also organic to convey a sense of ambivalense surrounding his history in the apparatus and whether or not he was placed there or simply has always been that way. The three characters are all homogenous and androgenous.

The runners are designed to suggest a similar ambivalence. Their apparatuses are designed, however, to suggest that they were part of a larger system and perhaps broke free. Each runner has a slightly different skew on the upper poles.
