Updates!

05/14/2007 - Everything seems to be in order. We are still putting the final touches on the animation with Sound & Music. The screening today should go fine.
05/09/2007 - This is the final week before the presentation. We are currently using the computer cluster as a render farm. We have been rendering all the scenes and we should be done rendering soon. Then we need to move on to post-processing with Sound & Music.
05/02/2007 - Katherine is still working with cloth, but now she is working on getting the scarf to work on all scenes. We seem to have about 10 scenes total. The snowman eating scene is still getting perfected (Syng and Andrew teamed up on this one this week). Priscilla is still doing blend shapes and has made sure that we have some full renders to look at every week; this way we know where we are every week. I (Luis) have been working on having the girl leave footsteps in the snow.
04/25/2007 - We got a rough cut of the animation with a few missing scenes at the end. Andrew is working on the jagged teeth of the snowman for the eating scene. Kathy made a good amount of progress with the cloth simulation for the girl's jacket. I (Luis) fixed the scenes where the girl is levitating/walking over the sidewalk.
04/18/2007 - The scene where the snowman eats has its blend shapes finished by Andrew. The motion capture issues that Priscilla and I were having were resolved by Kathy and Yang. Yang improved the Snowman's walk cycle. Priscilla finished some facial animations using Blend Shapes.
04/11/2007 - We have some renderings of the snow and the snowman. We have initial facial expressions from Priscilla. We have the snowman's acessories (rings, buttons, eyes). Putting the model onto the motion capture skeleton and motion is still problematic.
04/04/2007 - The motion capture session for the girl went fine. Priscilla was the capture subject and I was in charge of the capture session. I was also in charge of the post-processing for the motion capture session. Some of the modelling has begun, and we have begun experimenting with Blend Shapes for animation.
03/28/2007 - We have recently finished our animatic. Feel free to see it at our "Gallery >> Downloads" section.
