Algorithmic Textiles Design: Sewing Project

In this project, you will build an embroidery machine from a kit.

The Engineering Part

Assemble the embroidotron kit and adapt it to your sewing machine.

The Artful Part (Optional!)

Make something interesting using your embroidery machine.

What To Turn In

• Before Class: document your machine, perhaps even including video of it working. Make sure to take care to photograph any modifications you made to adapt the machine to your target sewing device. Photograph any artifacts you produced with the machine. Write a paragraph or two about what you did and how/if it worked. Upload all of these things to a sub-folder named with your andrewid of this google drive folder. NOTE: use your @andrew account to access. NOTE2: make a sub-folder, don't upload a zip file.
