Algorithmic Textiles Design: Final Project
In this final project you may use any equipment or technique in creating your artifact.
The Engineering Part
The sky is the limit. Interface with existing machines, teach a 3D printer to weave, build your own hardware, ...
15-867 note: students in the graduate section of the course (867) must attempt a project which makes a contribution to the progress of human innovation. That is, you must make, do, or measure something interesting and/or useful that has not previously been made, done, or measured. A common way to do this is to attempt to extend/improve an existing, "state-of-the-art" technique.
The Artful Part
You have incredible freedom in this project. Use it to support a solid concept.
What To Turn In
- Before Class: photograph your created artifact(s); write a paragraph about what you set out to do and where you think you succeeded or failed; and make a copy of any patterns, CAD files, or source code you generated. Upload all of these things to a sub-folder named with your andrewid of this google drive folder. NOTE: use your @andrew account to access. NOTE2: make a sub-folder, don't upload a zip file.
- During Class: Bring your artifact(s). Present and discuss it with your classmates during our critique.
